Rachel Lindsay to Present “Unlocking the Carbon Potential” Session at 2024 ASLA Conference

Rachel Lindsay, Senior Designer and Head of Landscape Design at Regenerative Design Group, will be one of three speakers presenting the “Unlocking the Carbon Potential” Session, which is part of the Concurrent Education series on Climate Action at the 2024 American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Conference in Washington, DC. The session will be led by Christopher R. Ng-Hardy, Senior Associate at Sasaki, and will also feature Gillian T. Davies, Senior Ecologist and Natural Climate Solutions Specialist at BSC Group, Inc. & Visiting Scholar at Tufts University Global Development & Environment Institute.

According to the ASLA session page, “Soils hold 80% of global terrestrial carbon stocks and are critical for carbon drawdown. The nitty ‘gritty’ details of how we work with soils hold the greatest potential for carbon sequestration of any aspect of the built environment. This session shares best practices for maximizing carbon storage in designed landscapes.”

The session will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. ET at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 151AB.

The ASLA conference takes place October 6-8, 2024. Advance Registration closes on August 26.
